Executed in a sleek, monochrome aesthetic and crafted from recycled black nylon CORDURA® re/cor™ RPET fabric®. The yarn used for the uppers is 100% post-consumer recycled polyester made from discarded bottles and packaging for a distinct and distinguished appearance. Also included in the assortment is the water resistant Ikoni Trail dressed in all black."
An update to the Albatross 82, the Albatross Control reimagines a novel traction
pattern from Karhu's past in a robust, slip-resistant package. While looking through
Karhu’s back catalogues, the Karhu design team came across an early model of the
Albatross that featured a sleek contoured heel counter and a unique non-slip
outsole.
To compliment the enhanced outsole, we’ve added more body to the shoe,
increasing the thickness of the midsole by adding an extra stripe of EVA for
additional cushion and support. The Albatross Control also utilizes speckled
rope laces and a plush nylon tongue with binding, a nod to the Synchron TBA, a
model from the mid 80s, for added style and comfort.
