Surge is Detour’s first ever frame built for sport and work—so you can get a locked-in fit without sacrificing comfort.
The fit is adjustable where it matters most. Surge features adjustable arms with a wire-core interior and adjustable nose pads, letting you fine-tune how the frame sits so you can move freely without constant readjustments. For vision, Detour’s Hi-Fi high-contrast lens tech is designed to sharpen your surroundings, enhance colors, and define details—helping you stay focused on what’s ahead.
Built for demanding use, Surge XL is ANSI Z87+ certified with safety ratings and impact protection. That means you get an extra layer of protection while playing sports or at the jobsite! Surge also uses PC (polycarbonate) lenses, which is a huge upgrade over traditional TAC lenses. Surge lens material is injected around our Hi-Fi (high contrast) filter to prevent layers from separating which can be common in humid high temperature locations or if you store your sunglasses in your car.
To keep your lenses clearer with less effort, the oleophobic lens coating adds a barrier that makes wiping smudges effortless and helps extend the life of your lenses. The hydrophobic coating repels water to keep your vision clear and helps avoid the need to wipe lenses dry—again extending lens life.
